About Me.

Helping people feel more like themselves again — with clarity, compassion, and evidence-based care.

Hi, I’m Dr. Samantha Haudenschield, a licensed psychologist with over 20 years experience helping adults navigate the complexities of life, work, identity, and mental health.

I started VineStone to create the kind of space I wish existed more often, where neurodivergent people are respected, affirmed, and supported without judgment or red tape. After working in larger systems, I saw the need for care that balances professionalism and humanity. The name “VineStone” reflects both growth and grounding - something I hope clients experience in our work together.

If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected — whether from others or from your own sense of self — you’re not alone. I work with individuals who are navigating anxiety, life transitions, and neurodivergence, like ADHD or autism. Many of my clients are high-functioning but exhausted, outwardly capable yet inwardly struggling.

Therapy with me is collaborative and practical. I draw from evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help you understand what’s getting in your way and how to move forward. I also believe in keeping therapy real — we’ll talk openly, think critically, problem-solve, and work toward meaningful change, not just symptom reduction.

What sets me apart?

  • Deep Experience: I’ve been practicing psychology since 2005, with a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology and specialized training in health psychology, neurodiversity, cognitive, and behavioral interventions.

  • Whole-Person Focus: I consider neurological and biological processes, physical health, social and cultural factors, identity, values, and environment in determining which approach will work best.

  • Collaborative:  We will work together.  This is your therapy experience and I want to be sure you're getting the treatment you need.

  • Neurodiversity-Informed: I have a special affinity for working with neurodivergent individuals and have experience with a variety of interventions for ADHD in adults of all ages. I understand that not everyone fits into a “typical” box. I'll work with you to build systems and strategies that actually work with your brain.

  • Telehealth Only, Ohio-Based: Therapy sessions are fully online, designed for convenience, privacy, and flexibility. No commute, no waiting room, just focused support — from anywhere in Ohio.

I’ve seen firsthand how therapy can help people reclaim their energy, restore their sense of control, and start living more fully again. If you’re ready to do the work — even if you’re not sure what that looks like yet — I’m here to walk with you through it.

  * It is important to note that I do not have training in specific methods for treating trauma (such as EMDR) and will often decline to treat acute traumatic reactions, chronic posttraumatic reactions, addiction, or acute suicide risk in a virtual setting.
